Gerdau Açominas Blast Furnace Revamp |
Reframax started in December the preparation to carry out the services of revamping Blast Furnace 1 Gerdau Açominas, in Ouro Branco/MG.
The scope of the revamp will comprise the following items:
- Change of the heart carbon block, tuyere and bosh. Concrete pouring on Staves and gunning on the bosh, belly and shaft.
- Repair of the chimney, hot blast main, bustle main, mixing vessel and channel flue.
- The period of revamping is 75 days from Blow-out (furnace outage) to Blow-in (furnace start-up).
- The work is expected to be finished by March, 2009.
